This catamaran has custom features such as a professionally built gentleman's workshop in the owners side with a full complement of tools, double seat at the helm with adjustable foot rests, diving compressor, single side band radio with Pactor modem, hard Bimini with inner liner and full enclosure. It has been designed and equipped for safe, comfortable, short-handed long distance cruising. There is a vast number of power and other tools and numerous spares for all relevant systems. The boat is ready to go anywhere the new owner wishes to take her. The current owner sailed her from Grenada, single-handing across the Atlantic to Spain and Portugal, then returning to the Caribbean thus fulfilling his dream of completing the North Atlantic circuit in a one-year voyage. He is now ready to pass the boat into new hands to pursue a professional career at sea.

Features like the remote engine control allow working the anchor on the foredeck while being able to control the engines at the same time from there as well. The autopilot can be controlled from anywhere with a wireless remote control which also produces all relevant navigational and weather information by displaying NMEA data on the handheld screen.

Other features: Upgraded 55 HP engines with a cruising speed of 6 knots at 1800 rpm, Onan 9.5 KW generator, washing machine, A/C with three separate controls, Solara solar panels, three sinks/three faucets in the galley, top loading freezer and front loading fridge, "Quick" anchor winch 1500 W with remote control & chain counter. Construction
• One-piece hull and deck mouldings are hand laid glassfibre, using powder - bound mat, biaxial woven rovings, isopthalic resin, and Kevlar reinforcement in high load areas.
• Below the waterline, the hulls are solid laminate, while the topsides and deck incorporate an end grain balsa core.
• The deck has an integrally moulded non-slip finish. The hull and deck joint is fully bonded and protected by a substantial rubbing strake.
• Many of the structural bulkheads are of vacuum bagged foam core
• The interior furniture is fully bonded, in a light and stiff ‘honeycomb’ structure is created.
• The Broadblue 42 is virtually unsinkable due to its watertight bulkheads and buoyancy compartments fore and aft. The keels are integrally molded and sealed off from the hulls forming a double bottom.
