1968 43 ft aluminum sloop, custom, last boat built built by C&C Founder before forming the company a year later. Boat is in good shape but needs a little paint.
The bad part: Motor, Perkins 4.108 (1968 low line ED70058U624018) just threw a rod & cracked the block 2" above oil pan bolt line. Motor will still turn over.
The good part: I have had the fuel injection pump just rebuilt, replaced the water pump with new, new impeller in the saltwater pump, replaced all hoses, new & larger heat exchanger, reworked the exhaust hosing & lift mufflers (2 of them), replaced every hose clamp on the boat with ABA hose clamps($1,000 worth) (the good ones), installed a desalination unit how be it done by me, at 40 gal per hour, new starter with spare, new generator with old spare.
I've had this boat for 3 years have have worked on everything except the motor internals and everything works (except the motor now) and I am about out of money and skin. It is a solid beast with near 1/4" thick aluminum skin.
This is a true blue water boat with a 6.5ft draft and 3/2 keel. MaxPro folding prop is just behind the keel and the rudder just aft of that.
Build using the old style racing rules, it is a beautiful sleek-looking boat. I have taken it from Fort Myers to New Orleans and back by myself. In 8 to 10 foot swells it handled itself well. It has a 7.5 knot hull speed and will do it.
If you don't buy it I will fix it and keep sailing. If you do you will fall in love.
It hasas a new macerator pump, Raymarine eS78 Multi‑function Display, Quantum WiFi, new I60 wind indicator & cable, I40 depth indicator, ST1000 Plus Tiller Pilot, depth & fish finder, new Hydrovane windvane self-steering gear (about $6,000 worth).
I've just rebuilt the Walter V drive, propane stove with 2 aluminum tanks, on demand hot water heater, 45lb Bruce anchor with 200 ft of 3/8 chain rode, mechanical winch, 60 lb Manson anchor, 21 lb fortress Al anchor, New 5-12volt 125 amp solar panels and 7 x 100 amphour gel cell batteries, Air Breeze type wind generator and spare, Achilles dinghy, 5hp Tohatsu and 4hp Mercury outboards.
Sails are all in good shape including a spinnaker I haven't used.
Asking Price: $60,000
