'Hiatus', a CSY 44 Walk-Through Sailboat for Sale
(Monterey, California, USA)
I'm the third owner of 'Hiatus', a CSY 44 Walk-Through built in the Caribbean by Antigua Yachts. She's currently located in Monterey, California.
'Hiatus' is a luxury 48 foot center-cockpit sailboat built for bluewater sailing. Antigua Yachts bought the plans from the very successful CSY and built 55 of these beautiful boats.
The CSY 44 has a reputation for being an excellent liveaboard and voyaging boat. She is fast and very comfortable with her full keel, and only has a 5 foot draft, so there's no need to worry about access to pristine anchorages or worrying too much about running aground.
'Hiatus' has a spacious 2 cabin, 2 berth layout, and the galley being in the walk through to the master cabin allows for a really open living/dining area.
The forward cabin is a full sized bed, the dining table folds down to become a queen sized bed, and the master cabin has a custom to fit queen bed.
The forward head is a composting airhead, the master suite head is a manual pump with a large holding tank and an electric macerator.
'Hiatus' is fully equipped and ready to go. She has bow thrusters, but honestly handles well that you really don't need them. Autopilot works flawlessly. Has Furuno radar and a loud-hailer. All lines lead back to the cockpit for easy be single-handed sailing.
Sails are all in good shape and just had them serviced, have lots of extra sails. The standing and running rigging was inspected 10 months ago. 2 coats of petit bottom paint was applied 10 months ago, and has been cleaned monthly along with zincs.
The motor was replaced back in 2006 and only has 300 hours on it. The generator works great with only around 1,100hours. The cooling system was completely disassembled, cleaned and serviced what was in good shape. The rest was replaced with a new exhaust manifold, thermostat, waterpump and coolant lines. The heat exchanger is in excellent shape still.
There's great, easy access to both motor and generator. Both just serviced. Little work area in engine room. Has 2 diesel heaters that work great. 2 reverse cycle cruisair air-conditioners that work great. 1 mini fridge/freezer and 3 in counter (tons of space for off shore provisioning). Forward and aft hot water heaters work great, can turn on for 30 minutes and have hot water for the entire day.
'Hiatus' needs new canvas for the cockpit enclosure and some minor cosmetic work, but is otherwise in great condition and ready for someone to take her on adventures.
There's much more to list, so come take a look at her. Serious inquiries only please. Slip may be transferable with approval of marina.
