'SNATCH' a Lavranos 42 ft Steel Cruising Cutter

'SNATCH' is a 42 ft custom made steel yacht, made from virgin South African mild steel. Only the best materials and paint system was used to minimize maintenance and promote longevity.

The one and only owner is a MCA Y3 marine engineer and has maintained the yacht to the highest standard. In November 1916 she came back from Brazil and has had all the routine maintenance. In October 2017 'SNATCH' was taken to Simons Town for new unti-fouling paint and also to repaint the upper sides.

'SNATCH' is a blue water cruising yacht ready to go anywhere at short notice. The owner and his wife have cruised in her for ten years in the Caribbean South America and USA.
She is very easy to sail for two people, very comfortable and a low maintenance boat to maintain.

'SNATCH' has two roller furlings, the sails are in top condition, mainsail was replaced in 2016, she has a powerful electric windlass and the 50 meter chain is in excellent condition. A 27 kg Delta anchor and a 20 kg Bruce anchor stowed in tandem on the bow rollers have never let us down.

The large aft cockpit is fitted with a Bimini to provide shade while sailing or at anchor.

Down below 'SNATCH' has accommodation for 6, two double cabins and two single bunks. In the galley we have a force 10 three burner gas stove, pressurized fresh water, foot pumped sea water, Twin stainless steel sinks, 40 liter of fridge and 40 liter of deep freeze space, powered by a 12 volt compressor.

The saloon has been reupholstered in 2016.

The engine is a Deutz FL3 912 air cooled. No problems with water or corrosion !! Please contact me for more info.
