'Zen' was built in fiberglass by shipyard Cheoy-Lee in Hong Kong in 1981, on a Robert Perry design.

Length: 47ft (14.10m);
Beam: 13.3ft( 4.04m);
Draft: 6.1ft (1.85m);
Displacement: 13t.

This vessel is a rare original shipyard extension of the Cheoy-Lee 44 Sloop version A from Bob Perry, bringing her to a real hull length of 47ft.(14.10m).

She is a very sturdy and live aboard cruiser, fast and comfortable for 2 to 4 crew.

Large cockpit with good seating, steering wheel, folding table and large lockers. Inside are two cabins with double beds and bathroom ensuite, with toilet, wash basin and shower. wardrobe lockers and storages. Large saloon with folding table and settees usable as beds, with storages all around.

Complete galley with double sink with cold & hot water, fridge and stove with grill and oven. Chart table with electronic displays and working table with tools storage.

Interior is very bright with many portholes and five deck hatches (Lewmar).

Engine under the floor sole is a diesel Perkins 4108 50hp with hydraulic BW transmission and Maxprop folding propeller on shaft.

Double spreaders sets on aluminium mast, standing rigging renewed in 2011. Cutter rig with two Profurl foresails furlers.

Fully battened mainsail, genoa, staysail are from 2010 with only about 2,000 miles.

Spinnakers, boomed storm sail, storm jib, running rigging mostly Spectra. Many winches mostly Harken ST. 2 Spinnaker poles

Electronics: radio VHF, AIS, GPS, radar display/chart plotter Raymarine C80, Raymarine radar on tilting pole, wind instruments. Depth sounder , speedo log, repeater ST60 Raymarine and new autopilot Raymarine (to be reinstalled).
Solar panels 350 Watts with regulator. Two inverters, battery charger. Lofrans electric anchor winch 1000Watts.
Watermaker to be installed.

One main anchor with 10mm chain, one large spare anchor.

Large inventory of pulleys, blocks, ropes, sailing hardware, spares, brand new engine control panel, more than plenty nuts and bolts, many tools and miscellaneous equipment.

Tanks capacities: Water 570 liters; Diesel fuel 340 liters.

Work to be done: Mostly some cosmetic on hull (buffing), cabin and cockpit, inside some wood trims and hatches trim to refinish, little maintenance jobs. One spinnaker to repair, Bimini cover to renew. Batteries to renew; Electronic instrument displays and autopilot provided to be reinstalled. Underwater antifouling paint to be redone before launch.

This boat is registered in Delaware and is under US flag.

Boat is in storage under tarp cover on the hard in a secure marina on the Atlantic north coast of Panama.(Panamarina, Cacique, Colon, Rep. of Panama, 9°38 N 79°36,68W),
This is outside of the hurricane belt and an ideal location to start cruising the San Blas Islands, the Caribbean or prepare for an Atlantic or Pacific crossing, and is available for inspection at any time.
