'Maunga Moana', our New Zealand Flagged Tayana 37 - which has been called a **Tank of a boat** - is for sale. While she may not be the fastest, she will get you anywhere safely and that is exactly what she has done with us.
'Maunga Moana' at anchorWe have been living on board for the past 3 years while sailing all around the Caribbean but sadly the time has come for us to pass her on to new owners. As we are still living on board and sailing, she is ready to keep on the momentum with new owners.
Currently located in Grenada, we will be more than happy to deliver the boat for free to the ABC Islands, Colombia or Panama.
Equipped with all the electronics, safety equipment, a reliable engine and even a watermaker she is truly offshore and turnkey ready to go.
Featuring a spacious and modernised interior with plenty of storage we found no issues with room, even with guests on-board for extended times.

Wide sidedecks...Standing Rigging in good condition with no signs of damage with new Dyneema Lifelines and all running rigging lines replaced recently and in perfect condition.
Mainsail control lines are led back to the cockpit3 sails, 130% Genoa in good condition, worked on by sailmaker to be more performative in Apr-22, Staysail in good condition, had Sunbrella replaced in Nov-22, and Mainsail which is old but in working condition.
All sailing accessories have Sunbrella covers which are either new or well maintained.
Furlers have been fully serviced including oil replacements.
The dodger provides good protection for the cockpit occupantsAmazing large anchor for a boat this size, according TO Mantus charts it is classififed as a level above “Storm Anchor” for a 37ft boat. Chain is marked every 50ft for easy and sercure anchoring wherever you go. Windlass has also been serviced and re-sealed with new grease in Nov-21, so winching is nice and smooth.
The bowsprit and pulpitThorough water supply set up with 3 x 33 Gallon Bladders used as potable water where each tank can be individually controlled for fill. Additional secondary system used for Washing and Shower using a separate pump and the 45 Gallon bilge tank. Plenty of additional water supply stored on the boat so can easily live off grid for extended periods. 45 Gallon Diesel tank which can run engine for well over 50 hours.
Navigation instruments and VHF comms at the steering positionConnected and fully functional Electrical Setup with AIS connected through Chartplotter as well as Radar, Wind and Depth.
The ICOM MA-500TR AIS Transponder & ReceiverExtensive Plumbing systems thorughout the boat with Watermaker currently plumbed into stainless tank but can be diverted to auxillary hose to fill Jerry Cans or Bladders.
Engine instrumentation in the cockpitEngine and transmission both fully rebuilt in Oct-22, only 350 hours ago, both working great and very reliable.
Fully Updated Battery system with new Solar, Batteries, and Charge Controller installed to be able to comfortably live aboard without the need to worry about power use.

Modernised, and comfortable internal living area with plenty of space and storage. All lights have been replaced with LED, charging stations have been installed throughout so you can charge from nearly anywhere in the boat. Even has built-in Air conditioning unit to make time at marinas nice and comfortable.

A great hard bottom dinghy that fits on davits for easy stowing when sailing. The outboard is small enough to lift for easy stowing on the cockpit rails and has been routinely serviced and maintained so runs great every time.
