'Calypso', my Van de Stadt 30 sailboat is for sale. I live aboard and am currently anchored in Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou, Grenada in the West Indies, one of the world's finest cruising grounds.
'Calypso' was built in 1975, and with all lines leading back to the cockpit she's the perfect single-handers' liveaboard cruising sailboat. She's very well built, with a thick fibreglass hull.
Major bottom work was done 5 months ago, her semi-long keel was reinforced and partly rebuilt as well as overall upgrades, updates and refitting. The hull is dry and solid.
'Calypso' comes fully equipped for living aboard with a large inventory of spares and tools.
She's ready to go, although the interior could use some further cosmetic work.

The galley is fully equipped and has a double stove on gimbles.
The very comfortable dining table can be lowered and become a double berth.
'Calypso' sails like a dream and has a big selection of headsails to have a lot of fun with, all of which are in good condition:
The original inboard engine was removed and she now has a long shaft Honda BF5A outboard on an adjustable bracket. This little four-stroke outboard gives the boat 4 knots of speed without much effort.
'Calypso' also comes with an inflatable dinghy and Yamaha 2CMH outboard, together with a plastic Malibu Double Ocean Kayak with 2 paddles.
