'Calypso', my Van de Stadt 30 sailboat is for sale. I live aboard and am currently anchored in Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou, Grenada in the West Indies, one of the world's finest cruising grounds.
'Calypso', my Van de Stadt 30 sailboat at anchor in Carriacou'Calypso' was built in 1975, and with all lines leading back to the cockpit she's the perfect single-handers' liveaboard cruising sailboat. She's very well built, with a thick fibreglass hull.
Major bottom work was done 5 months ago, her semi-long keel was reinforced and partly rebuilt as well as overall upgrades, updates and refitting. The hull is dry and solid.
'Calypso' comes fully equipped for living aboard with a large inventory of spares and tools.
She's ready to go, although the interior could use some further cosmetic work.
